Safari 3D Holograhpic Peel OffsMaterials
Tools
Stick one complete peel off onto the acetate. From the second image take some of the main parts of the image. For example, for the rose design take just the flower. For the fuchsias, take the two most prominent flowers and leaves. For the Violets take the two front flowers with the buds and leaves directly next to them. Stick them onto acetate. When cutting components on peel-off sheets just trim through connecting lines, not the wax paper underneath. You can then lift off the pieces required and the rest stays for any other use. Colouring can be done in the normal way with glass paints or by using permanent ink pens. Pen work should be done from the back. Start with the lightest colour, let it dry and then go over with the same pen to produce a deeper colour on shaded areas. If your first colour layer starts to come away with the second, apply this to the front but be careful not to get any on the silver lines. For best results on the leaves, colour them first in yellow and then in green. Leave your designs to dry overnight. Put the holographic paper face down through the zyron so that the sticky sheet is applied to the front of the paper. Carefully stick the holographic paper to the back of the acetate. It is best to peel off just a small corner of the backing from the holographic paper and line the acetate up with the straight edges. Slowly peel the rest of the backing away, ensuring that the holographic paper sticks to the acetate evenly, without any air bubbles. Carefully cut out all the pieces. The cards can be embellished with an embossing border stencil. Stick the backing papers and card to the card blanks using double sided tape or glue. Fix your peel off design to a prepared layered card with silicone glue or 3D foam pads. Stick each subsequent layer onto the base image using silicone glue or 3D foam pads. |
