Christmas SquaresYou Will Need:
Start by cutting the corrugated card into 3cm squares. You will need 4 in green and 5 in red. A paper trimmer makes light work of this but the old fashioned craft knife, cutting matt and ruler will do. Stick a bit of double sided tape onto the back of each corrugated square. You can position the squares on your card by eye or for more accuracy cut a guide 2.25cm wide from some scrap card 30cm long. Cut it in half lengthways and stick the two halves together at right angles. Line the template up with one of the corners of your card and stick the square in place so that the edges are butting up against the edges of the template. Position the four outer squares in this way. Then use one edge of the guide to position the middle squares of each outer row. Then finally remove the guide and position the centre square by eye. Put a 3D foam pad in the centre of each of the red squares. A pair of tweezers makes this fiddly job easy. Stick a padded fabric star on to each pad. If you struggle to remove the backing from the foam pads or double sided tape, use a craft knife to lift it off. Complete the card with some peel off greetings along each edge. A craft knife is useful for positioning the peel offs. By changing the colours and embellishments, this card would be adapted to almost any occasion. Try red hearts for valentines day or pastel colours for a birthday card, muted colours would make this a good card for men.
