You Will Need:

• Yellow C6 Card
• Pink C6 Card
• Baby Blue C6 Card
• Iris Folding Panel - Foot
• Iris Folding Panel - Hand
• Iris Folding Panel - Teddy
• 4 Gold Iris Strips 15cm in 4 Shades
• 8 Pink Iris Strips 15cm in 4 Shades
• 8 Baby Blue Iris Strips 15cm in 4 Shades
• Dovecraft Brads Pastel
• Dovecraft Eyelets Metallics A
• Dovecraft Designer Brads Pastel
• Yellow Gingham Background Paper
• Silver Cord
• Peel Offs

1. Place an aperture cut panel over the pattern.
2. Secure it with a little masking tape.
3. You will need the same number of colours of paper as the highest number inside the outer rim of the shape.
4. Arrange your chosen colours next to your workspace.
5. Take a strip of the first colour.
6. Fold one edge of the strip over about a quarter of a centimetre.



7. Cut the strip to the length of the area marked 1.
8. The strip should overlap the outer edges of the shape.
9. Stick the strip in place using sticky tape.
10. You may find it easier to place a strip of sticky tape on a craft matt, then cut across the width of the tape approximately every centimetre using a craft knife. You can then use your craft knife to lift each piece of tape off the craft matt and place onto your project.
11. Repeat steps 5 - 9 for the area marked 2 using the second colour.
12. Continue in the same way, covering each area in order.



13. After using the last colour of paper go back to the first.
14. After covering all the areas stick a square of holographic paper over the hole that is left (known as the iris).
15. Remove the pattern from your card.



16. Trim the aperture panel to size.
17. A paper trimmer is ideal for this, but you could use fancy scissors or straight scissors.
18. You may like to embellish the panel further using corner punches - if so do this now.
19. Use double sided tape to stick your finished iris folding onto the front of the card.
20. Fold your card closed
21. Embellish as desired

Teddy Card

Cut the iris folding panel to 7 x 7.5cm. Cut the yellow gingham background paper to 8 x 8.5cm. Use a needle to pierce a hole in each corner of the iris folding panel. Punch a pastel yellow brad through each hole. Turn the panel over and sperate each part of the back of each brad. Stick the background paper to the yellow card using double sided tape. Stick the iris folding panel centrally on top of this. Complete the card with a peel off greeting.

Hand Card

Cut the iris folding panel to 9.5 x 14cm. Use the eyelet setter to punch a hold n each corner of the iris folding panel. Insert a silver eyelet into each hole and set it in place with the eyelet setter. Thread a length of silver cord through an eyelet and secure the end with a little tape, thread it through another eyelet on the same side of the panel and secure this end. Repeat this so that the cord is threaded through each eyelet and lies along each side of the card. Stick the iris folding panel to the pink card using double sided tape. Complete the card with a peel off.

Foot Card

Cut the iris folding panel to 13 x 8cm. Use a needle to pierce a hole in each corner of the iris folding panel. Punch a pastel blue designer brad through each hole. Turn the panel over and sperate each part of the back of each brad. Stick the iris folding panel to the pink card using double sided tape. Complete the card with a peel off.
