Cut some strips of scrap card at least 15cm long to 2.75cm and 4cm wide. A paper trimmer makes this much easier than a craft knife and cutting matt. Using the card lengths like a ruler draw lines 2.75cm in from each edge of the card on the inside front panel. Then draw lines 4cm in from each of the lines you have just drawn. Use a craft knife, ruler and cutting matt to cut out the four squares you have drawn. If your edges are a little rough you can smooth them down with the back of a teaspoon or for more accuracy use an embossing tool.
Cut four 3.5cm squares from a complimentary card. Put a tiny bit of double sided tape in each corner of each square and stick them over the apertures. Next cut four 3cm squares from complimentary card and stick them to the fist squares as shown.
Stick an embellishment to the centre of each square.
Use a wet paint brush to draw an 8cm square on the mulberry paper. Gently pull the excess paper away leaving the edges with a feathered effect. Use double sided tape to stick the mulberry paper centrally onto the card. Cut the white paper to 6cm square and stick it on top of the mulberry paper. Apply the presents embellishment on top. Tie a length of ribbon around the spine of the card.
Use the eyelet tool to punch a hole in each corner of the card. Push an eyelet through each hole and use the eyelet setter to set it in place. Thread the lilac ribbon through the eyelets securing it at the back of the card. Cut the lilac card to 8cm square and the white paper to 6cm square. Stick the lilac card to the card and the white paper on top using 3D foam pads. Apply the balloons embellishment on top.
