Place an aperture card over the pattern. Cut two strips of masking tape and stick it to your clothing and pull it off a few times to reduce the stickiness. Secure the card to the pattern with the masking tape. Fold the edge of each strip of paper over by about half a centimetre.
Stick some lengths of sticky tape along one side of your craft matt. Cut the tape into strips approximately 1cm wide. Hold one of the paper strips against the area marked 1 on the pattern. Cut the strip to length so that the ends overlap the edges of the area. Stick the strip in place using sticky tape. Use a craft knife to lift off a piece of tape from the craft matt and use it to stick the paper in place. Repeat this for the area marked 2 using the second colour. Continue in the same way, covering each area in order.
Once the iris folding is finished stick a holographic square over the hole in the centre, known as the iris. Remove the aperture from the pattern. Stick the front of the card over the iris folding using double sided tape. Your card is now ready to embellish as you please.
