Don't you just love the look of the big blooms adorning craft magazines at the moment! Here's a cheap cheat to get the same effect without the expense.
Cut your ribbon into 8cm lengths. For bigger flowers use longer lengths or shorter for smaller flowers. The flowers shown use 8 lengths of ribbon. Take a large brad and push it through one end of ribbon. Loop the ribbon length over your fingers and push the other end onto the brad. Add the next length of ribbon, turning the brad slightly so that the second ribbon is to one side of the first. Continue until you have surrounded the brad with ribbon loops. Adjust the ribbons and trim off any visible raw edges before opening the ends of the brad so that thew ribbons are held securely in place.
Cut your papers to a size that suits you and arrange them on your card. Some layout ideas are shown to get you started. Ink pads and a corner punch have been used to embellish the papers shown. Stick the papers to the card with double sided tape.
Use a glue dot to stick your ribbon flower in place and complete your card with a peel off greeting.
