Make a small loop in one end of 12 inches of wire. Thread 1.5 inches if seed beads onto the wire. Thread the wire back through the loop so making a loop of seed beads.
Thread another 1.5 inch of seed beads onto the wire and thread it back through the loop again. Do this four times so that you have four loops.
Wrap the wire around the middle of the butterfly to hold the wings together securely. Bring the wire to the bottom of the butterfly and thread a bugle bead onto it. Fold the wire over the bugle bead and add another two bugle beads. Finally add a single e bead for the head. Thread the wire back through the middle of the butterfly and trim off the excess.
Make the third and fourth loops longer than the first two.
The wings can be left round or shaped with your fingers.
For larger butterflies increase the length of wire to 24 inches and the wings to 3 inches. Use two bugle beads on the back of the butterfly and four on the front.
Top Left: Cut the pink shimmer paper a little smaller than the ATC and some white card a little smaller still. Round all the edges using the corner rounder. Emboss the flower stencil onto one corner and colour using chalks. Assemble the ATC and stick on the butterfly using glue dots. Add a drop of Glaze Drops to the centre of each flower.
Top Right: Cut the lilac paper a little smaller than the ATC and the lilac shimmer paper a little smaller still. Cut some white card a little smaller than the papers. Rub pink chalks all over the card. Punch a butterfly from some scrap card and use this as a stencil to chalk butterflies in lilac randomly across the card. Assemble the ATC and stick on the butterfly with a glue dot.
Bottom Left: Cut the lilac shimmer and pink papers to size and some white card a little smaller than the papers. Rub pink chalk all over the paper. Then rub lilac chalk on top. Assemble the ATC and stick the butterflies in place using glue dots.
Bottom Right: Cut the red paper and some white card to size. Round all the corners including the corners of the ATC itself. Run the edges of the white card along a red ink pad. Rub red chalk all over the card. Use a wet paint brush to draw a square or rectangle on the mulberry paper. Gently pull the excess paper away leaving the edges with a feathered effect. Assemble the ATC an finish with some small jewels.
