How To Make Your Card
Start by preparing your card so that you can use off cuts of the paper to piece the picture. Run the edges of the card along the surface of a Cranberry ink pad. Cut a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot cardstock to 14cm square. Cut another piece to 8cm x 12cm and rub the edges with a nail file to expose some of the white core.
Cut a piece of White Hammer Card to 8cm square. Place the Chic Lady stamp onto a clear acrylic block and ink it with a black Staz On ink pad. Press the stamp onto the card. Ink the stamp again and stamp it onto a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot cardstock. Ink and stamp again onto the back of the cardstock.
Pearly inks are a joy to use. They can be mixed to create an infinite number of colour combinations. This image was painted using only yellow, blue and red paints. Paint the skin using yellow and tiny amount of red ink diluted with plenty of water. Mix the three colours together to create a hair shade you find pleasing. Paint the lips, scarf, seat and shoes.
Using a sharp craft knife cut out the trousers from the patterned Bo Bunny cardstock. Cut the top and bag from the plain image. Stick them to stamped image with PVA type glue. Chalk the edges of the card panel and rub them along the surface of the Cranberry ink pad.
From some leftover cardstock cut a strip 2cm wide and 5cm long. Ink and stamp a greeting with a clear embossing ink. Quickly cover the image with black embossing powder and tap off the excess. You can use a scrap of paper to collect the excess powder but a tidy tray will save you a lot of time and hassle. I can't believe I messed around with cones of paper for years before investing in one! Heat the greeting with a heat gun until the powder melts.
Punch two flowers from some leftover cardstock and ink the edges with Cranberry ink. Place the flowers on top of each other on a crafter's mat and pierce a hole in the centre using a grab and stab tool. Don't stab yourself or rip your paper trying to apply brads through your fingers, a crafter's mat and stabbing tool will make your life much easier. Push a brad through the hole and remove it from the mat to open out the back and arrange the petals until you are happy with them.
Use double sided tape to stick the papers to the card blank as shown. Add a few jewels to give your card a bit of bling.
